Seeing Jesus, Seeing the Father – A Journey Through John’s Gospel

One day, Jesus’ disciples asked him, “Show us the Father.” His answer was simple: “If you have seen me, you have seen the Father.”

Everything we need to know about God—who he is, how he thinks, and how he acts—begins and ends with Jesus. He is the clearest and fullest revelation of God we have, and the Bible teaches that he is God.

This is why, over the coming months, we will be exploring John’s gospel together on Sunday mornings. We will also provide opportunities to continue the discussion in small groups and other forums.

Over the past 18 months, we journeyed through Genesis and discovered example after example of God revealing himself, even in challenging parts of the Bible. Now, we get to look Jesus squarely in the face—hearing his words, seeing his actions, and learning what he was truly about, and how he continues to shape and empower us today.

Our aim is simple: to use Scripture to clear away confusion and preconceptions, and to see Jesus clearly. By knowing him, we shape our lives around what he wants to do in and through us, both individually and as a community.
